Affordable housing demand in the Tampa Bay area has been addressed with this 6-building, 24-unit townhome project located in East Tampa. The CDC of Tampa coordinated with federal tax credit requirements to develop and finance the construction adjacent to a previous affordable housing development. Design considerations ensured that this multi-family project presented a style and character that did not conform to a typical low-income development. The interior spaciousness and exterior modern aesthetic lends itself to a market-rate product. Features of this 24,000 SF development include 2-story, 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath, one-car garage units at 2,158 SF each. Site design, retention ponds, green space, and landscaping were also critical to completing this advanced design.
